Aaron Hernandez: Death Ruled A Suicide, 3 Notes Found in Cell, Family Plans To Donate His Brain To Research

Over the last couple of days, Aaron Hernandez’s name has been dragged through media outlets across the country. The Celebritea reported Wednesday the former tight end for the New England Patriots was found dead hanging from his cell at Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Mass.

Hernandez was discovered around 3 AM with a bed sheet tied around his neck. And as of Thursday, the autopsy report for Hernandez has been completed and the rule of death has been determined a suicide.

Investigators are reporting that along with the Bible verse written across his forehead, there were three handwritten notes next to his Bible. No word – as of yet – on what the notes actually say, though.

Something that can be confirmed is Hernandez’s brain will be put to good use posthumously. Boston University’s Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Center will be taking Hernandez’s brain and examining it for the disease, by word of his family.

And if you didn’t know, CTE is a disease where your brain starts to degenerate over time due to repeated traumatic brain injuries and concussions (i.e. tackling in football).
