The attorney, Jose Baez, for the former New England Patriots’ tight end, Aaron Hernandez has a different idea on how his client and former NFL star may have died. On Wednesday morning, Hernandez was found hanging in his cell in an alleged suicide.
According to TMZ Sports,
“Baez believes this could be a murder either by inmates or the folks who run the prison. Baez says the family is “devastated” and does not believe Aaron was in a frame of mind to take his life. Baez told TMZ Sports just last week Aaron was in a good place and optimistic the separate murder conviction would be overturned.”
Hernandez’s agent, Brain Murphy took to Twitter to express his thoughts on his client’s sudden death.
“Absolutely no chance he took his own life. Chico was not a saint, but my family and I loved him and he would never take his own life.”
Just last week, Hernandez was found not guilty in the 2012 shooting deaths of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado.
