American Idol Reboot Reportedly Struggling To Secure Judges Alongside Katy Perry

‘American Idol’ is reportedly struggling to find judges for the show’s new reboot, TMZ reports. Like most problems in the world…the issue appears to be over money.

Although producers were able to secure Katy Perry as a judge for a whopping $25 million e, the show has been unable to officially sign on any other top picks, including Lionel Richie, Charlie Puth, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and producer Nile Rodgers.

TMZ claims that the hold up with Lionel stems from the singer’s request for $10 million to be on the show. However, production only wants to dish out half the money. The show reportedly is still on the fence about whether they want 3 or 4 judges this season.

Either way, the producers need to figure out something quickly. Formal auditions begin Thursday in Orlando. Filmed auditions in front of the judges are also set for the end of September.

Time is surely fleeting. Why isn’t AI ready to go by now? We smell a sh*t show in the mix. Are you here for the reboot? Let us know below!
