After hours of deliberations, a jury has reached a verdict in the 2013 rape case involving New York Knicks guard, Derrick Rose and two of his associates.
The woman sued Rose and his friends for more than $21 million, saying she was intoxicated from drugs or alcohol to give consent for sexual acts.
According to KTLA,
The eight-person jury alerted U.S. District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald at about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday that it had reached unanimous decisions on an array of allegations that a former girlfriend of the New York Knicks player had leveled against the men.
In their closing arguments, Rose’s attorney claimed that the woman wanted money from Rose after he broke off his relationship with him.
According to ABC7,
The woman’s lawyer called the men “sexual deviants” and says they conspired to gang rape her after she was drunk and incapable of consenting to sex.
