Carmelo Anthony Feels Disrespected For No. 15 Ranking in Slam Magazine

As the NBA regular season is right around the corner, a few magazines rolled out their rankings for the top players in the league for the upcoming 2016-2017 season. New York Knicks forward, Carmelo Anthony let his feelings be known about the Slam Magazine ranking him recently as No. 15.

Anthony took to social media to disagree with the Magazine’s ranking. Anthony says,

“@slamonline lost all credibility in my (eyes emoji)… ‘don’t play yaself.’

Anthony, a 9-time NBA All-Star spoke more of his disagreement,

“It’s disrespect,” Anthony said of Slam’s ranking, following Thursday’s Knicks practice, according to the New York Post“I should be mad at the person that send it to me,” Anthony said. “I think they were sending it to me more as motivation. I wasn’t actually upset. I looked at it and [thought] it was disrespectful. … I’m self-motivated. I don’t really need that to motivate me, someone sitting at a desk at Slam.”

As the Knicks look to make some noise this season, as they do almost every season, with some new additions to the team to spark some playoff and possibly championship goals with former NBA MVP, Derrick Rose. Anthony, who once lead the leading in scoring in 2013, just hasn’t been the same since joining the Knicks. In the past three seasons, Anthony has not accomplished to make an All-Star team or rally they Knicks to a playoff round. To put it simple, the ranking isn’t too far off.
