Chris Brown Ordered to Complete 1-Year of Domestic Violence Classes After Karrueche’s Testimony

After testifying before a judge in Santa Monica, CA, Karrueche Tran was  granted a 5 year restraining order against R&B singer Chris Brown. Tran and Chris Brown were in an on-again-off-again relationship, lasting between 2011-2015. Tran has accused Brown of both physically and verbally abusing her during their relationship. Tran at first, was finding it difficult to serve Brown court papers. While Chris Brown himself didn’t appear in court, his lawyer was present on his behalf. Now thanks to the restraining order, Brown has been order to complete one year of domestic violence classes.

According to court docs, Brown has to complete a 52-week batterer intervention program. The sentence was handed down after Karrueche testified in Thursday’s restraining order hearing.

As we reported, the judge also ruled Chris has to stay away from Karrueche for the next 5 years.

 

He’s no stranger to counseling sessions. After his Rihanna conviction, Chris had to attend domestic violence counseling — and later, when he violated probation in that case, he was forced to attend anger management.
