DJ Khaled Sued By Producer Over ‘I Got the Keys’ Track

DJ Khaled’s summer anthem “I Got the Keys” from his ninth studio album, ‘Major Key’, has landed the popular DJ in some legal trouble.

Chris Hill, a producer, claims that Khaled’s track features his work. Hill alleges that in 2008, he gave Khaled his cd, “Chris Hill Beats (Gangsta Boogie Vol 2),” at an Atlanta night club. The producer claims the cd featured his now stolen ‘beat’.

Fast forward 8 years later, Hill recognized his work when the “I Got the Keys” track debuted in 2016 and took the charts by storm. In December, the song was certified platinum after selling over 1,000,000 digital copies in the United States.

Hill is suing Khaled, Sony Music, and various producers for his alleged share of the song’s profits.
