Who would have thought that the annoying song you used to skip over would soon be your “jam” and soundtrack to basically everything? Well now, Drake’s dancehall influenced “One Dance” has just become the most streamed song of all-time on Spotify with over 880 million plays!
The title was previously held by Major Lazer’s “Lean On” with 526 million global plays, but there’s no denying the single that made it to Spotify’s global and U.S. lists of the Top 10 Songs of the Summer.
This comes as no surprise considering the success of Drake’s VIEWS album. It broke several streaming records and racked up over 245 million streams in the first week. Even more, Drizzy became Spotify’s most-streamed artist as well back in May, passing Justin Bieber.
Even though the rapper has to postpone his tour dates due to an ankle injury, we’re sure the news of his rankings will give him enough strength to get back on his feet in no time.
