The NBA Playoffs are begin Saturday afternoon with a list of games. The ‘Inside the NBA’ crew are currently working on some special plans for a new cast member. According to TMZ, “Inside the NBA” has reached out to Kobe Bryant to see if he wants a job.
The cast of the show, Kenny Smith, and former Lakers teammate, Shaq, have expressed interest in having the 5-time NBA champion on the show. Smith says to Kobe in 2015,
“We got a seat for you Kobe on TNT … and it’ll be ready for you in April ’cause y’all wont make the playoffs.”
So much shade, but that how the gentlemen joke with one another to keep the show hilarious. With Bryant joining the cast, I can’t see it happening. Bryant is focus on his venturous with his Kobe, Inc. business were he is venturing into movies, sports drinks, and investments.
Kobe tells ESPN,
“We want to own and help grow brands and ideas that challenge and redefine the sports industry while inspiring,” Bryant said. “If it doesn’t have the limbs of the sports industry, which I understand extremely well, then I probably won’t touch it.”
Other than his Kobe, Inc. brand and making sure to spend time with his family, this Turner Sports job may not be the job he is looking for after retiring. Maybe in the near future around 5-10 years down the road.
