Just after ranking No. 2 on Forbes’ annual ‘Forbes Five’ list of 2017, it appears as though the money will keep pouring in with Jay Z’s new $200 million deal with ‘Live Nation.’
According to Complex, the rapper has secured a 10-year-deal, similar to the $120 million deal that Billboard reported Madonna landed back in 2007.
However, Jay’s deal is not new since the ‘Live Nation’ partnership is picking up where they left off in 2008. The extended deal now includes more international tours across the country produced and promoted by ‘Live Nation.’
“Over nine years, we have traveled the world producing historic music experiences. [Live Nation Entertainment CEO] Michael Rapino is an industry visionary, and this renewed partnership is a testament to our longstanding relationship and the talented individuals at Live Nation. For the next 10 years, we will continue redefining the live event landscape,” Hov said.
Before he gets to it, the rapper is set to hit the stage headlining ‘Made in America Festival,’ performing at the second annual ‘Meadows Music and Arts Festival,’ and the ‘Austin City Limits’ later this year.
With all of these upcoming sets, speculations started to arise that the rapper just may be in the works of constructing a new album, especially since it’s been four years since ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’s’ release.
After Swizz Beatz posted a photo on Instagram of him and Jay with a caption including the words ‘album mode’ last week, speculations went through the roof.
