Just In: Nike Football Releases Its 2017 Rookie Class

While football fans continue to count down the days for Sunday night kick off to return, Nike officially announces its 2017 Football rookie class. 

Let’s take a look at the 20 football players stats & fun facts below:

1. Curtis Samuel, Ohio State, WR/RB, in the 2017 combine ran a 4.31 in the 40-yard dash.

2. Cooper Kupp, Eastern Washington, WR, received the Jerry Rice Award for being the top player in the FCS.

3. Mike Williams, Clemson, WR, is the epitome of comeback after suffering from a neck injury in 2016, to be selected in the 7th overrall pick in the NFL Draft. 

4. Taco Charlton, Michigan, DE, birth name Vidauntae got his nickname “taco” from kids believing he liked tacos as a child, but admits he just started liking tacos in college. 

5. Dalvin Cook, Florida State, RB, breaking records at FSU- accumulated 4, 464 yards during his career.

6. O.J. Howard, Alabama, TE, 2016 offensive MVP College Football Playoff National Championship.

7. Sidney Jones, Washington, CB, named First- Team All -Pac- 12 as a freshman and sophomore, also suffered a torn Achilles during a workout session in March. 

8. Quincy Wilson, Florida, CB, earned second-team All-SEC honors as a junior, while closing his 2016 season with 33 tackles, 3 interceptions, a pick-6, plus 6 pass breakups.

9. Jarrad Davis, Florida, LB, recorded 98 tackles, 3.5 sacks & one interception following a season with a torn meniscus.

10. Solomon Thomas, Stanford, DE, finished with 62 tackles & 8 sacks last season.

11. Corey Davis, Western Michigan, WR, the all-time FBS leader in receiving yards. 

12. Deshaun Watson, Clemson, QB, two-time Davy O’Brien award winner & no. 12 overall pick will be heading towards the Houston, Texans. 

13. Christian McCaffrey, Stanford, RB, Heismann trophy runner-up. 

14. Marshawn Lattimore, Ohio State, CB, named First team All- Big Ten & with the 11th overral pick is headed towards the New Orleans, Saints.

15. John Ross, Washington, WR, in 2015 tore his left ACL but is now heading towards the Cincinnati, Bengals. 

16. Evan Engram, Ole Miss, TE, the fastest TE in the draft after running a 4.42 in the 40 yard dash in the 2017 combine (heading towards the New York, Giants).

17. Kevin King, U of Washington, CB, 2016 Honorable Mention All-Pac-12. 

18. Marlon Humphrey, Alabama, CB, in 2013 won both the 110-meter & 400-meter hurdles titles at the World Youth Track & Field Championship.

19. Desmond King, Iowa, CB, 2015 & 2016 First team All-Big Ten.  

20. Budda Baker, S, U of Washington, 2015 & 2016 first team All-Pac 12.
