Stewart, whose book Truth: The Kordell Stewart Story was released earlier this year, begins by addressing ongoing gay rumors while talking to host Steve Harvey. “I wanted to wait until I had the opportunity to speak to you about this,” he says. Stewart then recounts a story dating back to 1998 in which a when a friend called him saying he heart he had been arrested in the park having “lewd acts” performed on him by a transexual person.
“First of all, when in the world have I gone to jail in Pittsburgh, because there’s no record,” Stewart says. “I don’t care if it’s 10, 20, 30 years [ago]. If it happened, it would be documented, let alone, being with a transvestite. Now, each is own Steve. Trust me when I tell you, but the life I started and live with my family…the thing I understood about life, is when God created the heaven and earth, he created Adam and Eve. That’s all I know. I don’t know anything else.”
False rumors aren’t the only thing Stewart has moved on from: A certain Real Housewives of Atlanta star is in his past, too. “You know, I loved my ex-wife,” he says of Williams, but it stops there. “That’s old and that’s over with, Steve,” he adds. “You know, I have a 13-year-old kid to raise.”
