‘Law & Order: SVU’ fans may have something to look forward to in the near future because Christopher Meloni may be open to a comeback.
According to TV Guide, the actor told ET that he would be open to making a return given the right circumstances.
“I have always said I would be open to it,” Meloni told ET.”Circumstances have to be right, that’s all.”
Meloni left the show back in 2011 after 12 seasons, but rumors circulated that he would make an appearance on the eventual series finale.
The SVU star confirmed the rumors were not true, and nothing is in the works at the moment.
“It’s never been brought up to me. That’s the kind of question that’s kind of out of my hands,” the actor said.
For now, fans are content with seeing Meloni reunited with his on screen partner in crime, Mariska Hargitay, sharing photos together via social media.
“I always kind of felt it and knew it. I knew how important it was to people, how much it meant to people. 12 years with your partner in crime, it is a long time,” Meloni said.
