The young woman who has accused Nelly of rape has stated she will not testify against him. She wants to drop the entire case and “wishes she had not called 911.” According to her lawyer, Karen Koehlerhe, her client believes the system is going to fail her. Her attorney had this to say,
“One day, maybe our world will change and thirty women will not be needed to (eventually) speak out against a celebrity who has hurt them in order to be believed,” the letter concluded. “But that day has not yet come.”
Nelly was arrested on his tour after a concert in Washington state last weekend. The St. Louis rapper was He was booked on suspicion of second-degree rape, but released later that day. He has not been officially charged with a crime either.
