Oprah Winfrey Says $5 Million An Episode For ‘Underground’ Is Too Expensive For OWN

Oprah Winfrey set the record straight Tuesday at a ‘Queen Sugar’ event about the prospects of her network OWN picking up WGN’s cancelled show ‘Underground’ for a third season.

The wealthy mogul simply put that the show’s productions cost, $5 million per episode, is too expensive for her network.
According to Deadline, Hulu, who has streaming rights to ‘Undergound’, is allegedly considering to pick the show up.
In the meanwhile, singer John Legend is still supporting the show in its pursuit to find a new home.
