Tom Brady and the New England Patriots have reached an agreement on a 2-year contract extension according to ESPN. Brady, a 4-time NFL Super Bowl winner, turns 39-years-old later on this year, and with his new extension, Brady will be wearing the Patriots uniform until he turns 42.

According to NBC Sports,
“There’s no immediate word on the financial terms of the deal. Brady is currently scheduled to cost $15 million against the Patriots’ 2016 cap and $16 million against the Patriots’ 2017 cap. When veterans agree to contract extensions, it often lowers the cap hit in the first year and pushes more money down the road.”
Even at the age of almost 40-years-old, Tom Brady is at the top of his game. Brady and the Patriots faced the tough defense of the Denver Broncos who advance to win Super Bowl 50. Brady finished 27-of-56 for 310 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. As the 11-time Pro Bowler continues his legendary career, even with all of the scandals and controversy Brady has been associated with, he is still the top level QB in the league.
