Real Housewives of Atlanta reality TV star Kandi Burruss along with her husband, Todd Tucker, have found themselves in some legal trouble with their upcoming restaurant business.
The couple has been accused of not paying builders from two separate construction companies for their work on their ‘Old Lady Gang’ restaurant which is expected to open in February. A carpenter and air condition contractor are suing the couple for $22K after blowing off their invoices and issuing fraudulent checks. The bad checks were apparently sent by a general contractor hired by the couple to manage the renovation of their Southern style cuisine restaurant.
Writing a fraudulent check is a felony in the state of Georgia. The carpenter, Charles Busbee, hit the couple with the $16,512 lien as apart of the whole $22K lien lawsuit, claiming that he was expected to be paid by June 30th.
Obviously, having not received that expected payment, he is threatening further legal action if he is not paid immediately.
