Taletrius ‘TJ’ Bradley, died Tuesday morning from a brain injury sustained in car crash following prom. The 19 year old star football player, was driving a red Corvette rented by him mom for the special occasion when he lost control and flipped the car.
Bradley was accompanied by his 17 year old teammate, Demetrius Palmer, who is currently in critical condition at Broward Health Medical Center. Both men were thrown from the vehicle during the crash.
Bradley who was set to graduate on Sunday, had recently qualified for a football scholarship and planned to attend the University of Tampa in August.
Pictures surfaced of the Deerfield High School senior on Saturday, posing next to the Corvette which matched his red satin jacket.
His mother, Tammie Singleton, told WPLG her reasoning for renting the Corvette, “He’s doing something with his life. He’s going to prom. He’s graduating. I wanted to put a smile on his face.”
‘He wasn’t the only one. There were Lamborghinis, Maseratis. Everyone knows when it’s prom, that’s what it’s about – extravagant things,’ she added.
‘It could’ve happened to anybody. Like I said, he could have had a Toyota and it could have flipped over.’
