Social Media Reacts to Phil Jackson’s “He Would Be Better Off Somewhere Else” Comment On Carmelo Anthony

On Friday during a press conference Phil Jackson set the record straight saying, he believes Carmelo Anthony ‘would be better off somewhere else’.

Multiple sources have reported the fued between NBA star Carmelo Anthony and New York Knick’s president is no secret, but it does raise a question to what could possibly happen next.

It didn’t take long for Jackson’s comment, to quickly go viral through Twitter and Instagram.

When the 32 year old Knicks player found out about Jackson’s comment he took to Instagram with a skeptical but comical post.

REALLY 😂😂 #StayMe7o

While #Melo fans laughed at his comment, Jackson shouldn’t have blamed all or majority of the Knicks slow progression on Carmelo Anthony. Although Anthony is one of the most well-paid players in the league he, unarguably shares some blame for the Knicks downfall as a team member. Jackson’s real priorities need to start at gaining healthy and more fit players on the roaster.

According to Complex, “Joakim Noah, who he signed to a massive deal last offseason, was hurt all year and later suspended for violating the league’s anti-drug program, and Derrick Rose closed the season with a torn meniscus.”

With a recent update Jackson says his comments was misunderstood.
