Donald Trump is showing support for Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly amid allegations of sexual misconduct and reports that the network paid out millions in a settlement to five women.
“I think he shouldn’t have settled; personally I think he shouldn’t have settled,” Trump told the New York Times on Wednesday. “Because you should have taken it all the way. I don’t think Bill did anything wrong,” he said.
“I think he’s a person I know well — he is a good person,” he said.
It’s interesting that Trump would make this statement when just last week he declared April ‘National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month,’ saying, “We all share the responsibility to reduce and ultimately end sexual violence.”
For a man who felt comfortable talking about grabbing women by the pus*ies, it really isn’t that surprising that he would show support for O’Reilly.
The story published by the New York Times on Saturday detailed the network’s settlement of roughly $13 million to five women working at Fox over multiple claims of sexual misconduct.
