UPDATE: LiAngelo Ball and UCLA Teammates Likely To Be Under House Arrest For Shoplifting; Banned From China

In the next episode of ‘How To Get Away With Stealing…’

The knuckle head crew of the UCLA basketball team, LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill, and Cody Riley, recently traveled with the team to the country of China for a regular season match-up verses Georgia Tech scheduled for Friday. After the three players were arrested and charged with shoplifting, all three are requested to stay in the country until the case is adjudicated.

According to the AJC,

There is a strong likelihood that the three UCLA basketball players arrested Tuesday for shoplifting in Hangzhou, China, will face 20 days of house arrest and then not be permitted to visit the country again, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The three players, LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley, could serve the punishment at the hotel where the UCLA and Georgia Tech teams stayed in Hangzhou, the Hyatt Regency Hangzhou.

The players involved in the shoplifting in the Louis Vuitton store will not play in the UCLA-Georgia Tech match-up this coming Friday. No further information on the players status beyond Friday’s game has been given at this time. Hopefully, this situation is a learning experience and the players can still be apart of the program.
