The Compton born, multi-awarded Grammy winner, Kendrick Lamar performs a tribute to Kobe Bryant as he closes his 20-year NBA career this Wednesday. The song, ‘Fade To Black,’ written by Scoop Jackson, pens the starting of the Black Mamaba’s career and what he means the Los Angeles area after so much success starting his career at The Forum.
Kendrick begins the video saying, “It’s over, it’s really over. Kobe really retiring, that’s crazy,” he says. “It’s a trip to even be doing this right now. Kobe really retiring.”
