Tensions were running high as the Jacksonville Jaguars handed a knockout blow to the tough Seahawks Sunday night in Jacksonville, 30-24. During the match-up, there were several confrontations on the field including one particular brawl at the end of the game the league offices will have to review for disciplinary action involving two players, Seahawks’ Michael Bennett and Jaguars’ center, Brandon Linder. Both players were seen wrestling with less than a minute to play in the game. Bennett, seems to during the play, roll his body in an attempt to under cut the Jacksonville center, Linder. But, the Seahawks weren’t finish acting a fool as of yet after the chaos.
After being ejected, Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson was exiting the field when he and a fan got into a heated argument. As Jefferson was jogging off, a drink was thrown in his direction by the Jacksonville sea of fans next to the exit to the lockeroom. Jefferson, already heated and ready for battle, ran over to the crowd to confront the thrower. As Jefferson was held back by Seattle team staff members, another drink was thrown at Jefferson. After the second drink was thrown, Jefferson went bananas and attempted to jump into the sea of Jacksonville fans. Jefferson was escorted off the sideline into the tunnel.
According to ESPN, Jefferson spoke on his altercation with the fan,
“Folks in the stands was throwing beer and throwing soda, whatever. I mean, I don’t know what I’m supposed to do,” said Jefferson, a second-year player. “I’m a human just like anybody else. I’m a man just like the other man in the stands. I’m not going to let somebody disrespect me, throw a beer on me.”
“Just because I’m playing football, I’m still a human being. I’m still a man. I’m out there playing a game, and at the end of the day, it’s a game, and I’m a man. I’m not going to let somebody disrespect me like that.”

Seahawks defensive lineman Jarran Reed wrote on Twitter that Jefferson was called the N-word during the sideline incident. Reed tweeted, “Regardless of anything fans throw beer and Gatorade at my teammate called him a “nigger” and they thing we’re the animals I would’ve jumped the wall as well.”
Regardless of who threw what, Jefferson should have proceeded to head to the lockeroom after being ejected. Although, confronting a the thrower wasn’t the worst thing to do, just was a little less than smart. Jacksonville fans are the best fans in the world as their team isn’t in much playoff play or televised games, so their fans might be a little more jumpy. Jefferson defense is very understandable. You assault me, I’m going to do something about it, right? Or in the words of a Nene Leaks, “You put your hands on me, I AM THE POLICE, OKAY.” All jokes aside, the fan should be banned from Jacksonville games and apologize to Jefferson along with the Jaguars because instead of talking about the team great victory of the Seahawks, we’re discussing a troll fans childish activities. The league should issue their decision on Jefferson’s disciplinary actions soon.
